Good question! Your average picture book for 4-year-olds comes in at around 32 pages, though some can be as many as 48! Considering children are very generally speaking said to have an attention span as long as their age in minutes, you might have your work cut out with anything too long. However, don’t be put off by reading something you feel could be a little too ‘old’ for the child in your life, it’s good to see what they do and don’t like – and they’ll let you know if they’re bored!
