About Guinness World Records

It all started in 1955 with a question: "What's the fastest game bird in Europe?" From a single book published above a gym, Guinness World Records has grown into a world-famous brand celebrating incredible achievements, amazing facts, and extraordinary people. Through books, TV shows, social media, and live events, GWR's mission is simple: to make the world a more interesting, fun and positive place.

Guinness Editor-in-Chief Craig Glenday

Meet the Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief

Craig Glenday has spent years travelling the globe in search of extraordinary achievements. He's judged record attempts, appeared on TV and radio, shared adventures with musicians, astronauts, royalty, and sporting legends, and met some of the world's most fascinating people. Ask him his favourite record and he'll probably say the longest fingernails—but that answer changes almost as often as the records themselves.
