You will need:

  • A baby spoon
  • A5 foamy sheets
  • A pencil
  • A ruler
  • Scissors
  • A needle and thread

Turn a spoon into a plane!

Step 1

Step 1

Cut your A5 sheet of foam in half across its width.

Step 2

Step 2

Place your spoon onto the sheet and trace a plane around it. (It will look a bit like a lamp or mushroom.) Make the tail a bit wide to avoid tearing the foam when you insert the spoon.

Step 3

Step 3

Cut around the outline. We’ve heard making airplane noises makes the cut sharper.

Step 4

Step 4

Prepare the wings for attachment by making a slit at the top and one at the tail. Check the width to make sure its wide enough for the spoon without tearing the foam.

Step 5

Step 5

Personalize your kid’s plane with washable markers, sewing on felt, or other child-friendly material.

Step 6

Step 6

Push the spoon into the wings and prepare for takeoff!
