How to make personalised angel place-names

Step 1

Step 1

First, let’s make the heads. Stick a toothpick in a polystyrene ball, and cover the other end with a ball of Blu-Tac. Get the kids to draw the faces for each dinner guest.

Step 2

Step 2

Now to make the wings. Let your little ones trace around three of their fingers. (You’ll need a pair of these for each angel.) Cut them out and keep the three pieces together.

Step 3

Step 3

Cut the bodies out of thick paper, varying the size depending on the guest. Use the image above as a rough shape guide.

Step 4

Step 4

Write the first letter of the guests name on the body and cut it out with the craft knife.

Step 5

Step 5

Use the translucent tissue paper to cover the letter on the inside of the body.

Step 6

Step 6

Time to assemble the angel. Roll the body into a cone and tape it closed. Pop the head on top and stick the wings to the back. Then place an electric tealight underneath it and watch the letter glow.
